How your kids' drawing becomes embroidery

At Peppermint Days, we take those drawings and transform them into custom creations. Childhood is all about big ideas, creativity, and a touch of cheekiness. Every drawing or scribble, no matter how simple, tells a story worth keeping. We bring those stories to life beyond the paper—turning them into custom clothing that lasts, with high-quality embroidery.

2. Submit Your Child's Drawing
After placing your order, send a photo of your child’s drawing to hey@peppermintdays.com (be sure to include your order number in the subject line). This is where the magic begins! Make sure the image is clear, capturing all the important details. The photo doesn’t need to be of perfect quality, as it will be manually digitised for embroidery. If there are specific details you'd like to emphasise, feel free to let us know.
It’s important to consider what kind of embroidery you want. If the child’s drawing is made with soft lines or scribbles, we will turn it into line-based embroidery (e.g., like the purple star). However, if the drawing is colourful, for example, made with markers and filled in, the embroidery will be solid and densely stitched (e.g., like the yellow baby). If you want a standout design, choose a child’s drawing that best fits this purpose. Letters and handwritten texts are also very welcome — they can make the embroidery even more personal and special!
Remember: Children's drawings can be full of fun details. Be sure to mention which elements are most important to you, so we can highlight them in the final embroidery. While we strive to keep the design as true to the original as possible, artistic adjustments may be made for better quality.
1. Choose Your Product
Start by selecting from a range of clothing options. The collection will gradually grow to include more items as Peppermint Days evolves. Pick the style, size, and colour that best matches what you're looking for.
The price of the garment includes up to 3 embroideries – you choose whether you want 1, 2, or 3 separate embroideries. If you want more, contact us. We can embroider as much as there is space on the garment and as your heart desires!
Most of our pieces are made to order, but there are occasionally some in-stock items available. Right now, the in-stock selection is small, but it will expand over time.

3. Personalization & Creative Freedom
We love working with creativity, and we aim to capture the essence of the drawing while leaving space for artistic expression. The placement of the embroidery — whether it’s a whimsical character on the sleeve or a bold design on the front — is thoughtfully considered. While you can trust us to make your garment look its best, feel free to share any specific preferences you have!
4. Review and Finalise
Once the drawing is received, the embroidery process begins. First, the design is manually digitised using special software, where each line of the drawing is carefully traced. Since this process is time-consuming, custom orders usually take about 2-3 weeks to complete, depending on the complexity of the design, garment availability, and order volume. This timeframe also accounts for our weekly ordering of blank apparel, as we are a new business and only order garments when needed. The final embroidery is machine-stitched onto the garment.
Need it faster? We sometimes have a small selection of blank apparel in stock, which means certain orders can be completed in as little as 1 week instead of the usual 2-3 weeks. 5. Your Custom Piece Arrives
Once completed, your one-of-a-kind embroidered piece will be on its way to you. Because of the custom nature of these products, returns are only accepted in the case of defects. Every piece is crafted with care to ensure it’s a special and lasting addition to your wardrobe.
